Bring your kids early in the afternoon for crafts, games, and food that will last all evening. Stick around for the live music and entertainment later in the day, and of course, stay for the fireworks right after sunset! There’s something for everyone at the Barnes Park July 4th Celebration and Fireworks Show!

Barnes Park is an essential part of the city of Monterey Park. Ranging 17 acres in total, Barnes Park has everything you could ask for, from playgrounds to an Olympic sized swimming pool, an indoor community center and basketball court to a beautiful open-air amphitheater.

Having a picturesque park like Barnes in the middle of an urban center such as Monterey Park is crucial for anyone who wants to live in the city, but doesn’t want to give up a connection to nature. Parks provide environmental support, as well as aesthetic value to a city, and Barnes Park is no exception. Not only that, but the many facilities available allow residents to live an active lifestyle and provide support for the community.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to explore Barnes Park, July 4th is a great time to do so. Not only will you be able to see the wonderful facilities and open spaces in Barnes Park up close and personal, but coming while all of the community is gathered for a celebration of our nation’s independence will allow you to see the park in its most beautiful state: when it is being used to bring a community together.
