Best Time To Visit Disneyland in 2017!

April 6th, 2017

Everyone loves Disneyland, and when thinking of the best time to visit, the answer is, frankly, any time at all! However, there are certain times of the year when you might experience more of the park by having to wait in shorter lines when the crowds aren’t quite so huge as they can be at other times.

Undercover Tourist has put together an article recommending certain times of the year that may be advantageous for a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth (Disneyland). They also mention dates when you may want to avoid the park due to large crowds if that is a concern for you.

One of the reasons for posting this now on our blog is that the article recommends the week of April 24-28, 2017, as one of the ideal periods when a visit to Disneyland is likely to be a great experience for you and your family due to the best combination of excellent weather, reduced crowds, and available attractions. Weekdays in May are also mentioned as being among the best times to attend the park.

If that week in April or these dates in May are not convenient for you, then several other dates are recommended for consideration for your future plans. These include Mondays to Thursdays during the final 2 weeks in August, weekdays during autumn except during major events, and weekdays during the winter months as well.

Dates for the remainder of 2017 that Undercover Tourist mentions as being the worst dates to visit include June 10 through August 12, Veteran’s Day on November 11, November 18-25 (Thanksgiving week), and anytime near the Christmas holiday season beginning on December 21. Other dates this year which the site lists that may see larger crowds are Memorial Day on May 29, July 17 (the anniversary of Disneyland), August 21-31, the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend of August 31 through Labor Day September 4, Columbus Day October 9, the Utah Education Association Convention on October 19 and 20, and the Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend of November 9-12.
