Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk

February 27th, 2018

Come out this Saturday, March 3, for the Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk. The Artwalk is a popular carnival style event in Downtown Santa Ana that has been celebrated every first Saturday of the month since 1999. This event is the epicenter of creativity, inspiration and expression for artists, art lovers and others who want to be engaged in a vibrant city that is filled with culture. The Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk is a great experience where attendees get a chance to visit galleries and restaurants as well as enjoy live performances and other special events. The Artists village is centered at the corner of 2nd Street and Broadway in this historic city.

The Santa Ana Artists village has many historical buildings that are occupied by dozens of creative businesses. It’s a pleasant city to stroll through with your family and visit different galleries that are open to visitors. The artists village features many restored historical buildings alongside other buildings designed using Spanish architecture with streets lined with palm trees, fountains and sidewalk cafes. Apart from its eclectic art scene, Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk is widely known for its wonderful restaurants, bars and night spots. One of the popular eateries is the Gypsy Den, where you’ll enjoy affordable priced food under the beautiful glow of Moroccan lanterns.

Art is a critical part of the Santa Ana community which sets this city apart from a number of Southern California neighborhoods. Every month more than 40 galleries open their doors for thousands of visitors to enjoy a variety of avant-garde artwork. As the sun sets, Downtown Santa Ana springs to life with gorgeous twinkling lights along the street and musicians entertaining the visitors. While in Santa Ana, stop by the CSUF Central Art Center which is among the first arts organizations to open its doors in this village. The center has three galleries that contain edgy works by both local and international artists.
