EAT ART Open Mic at Book Show

Have you been to Highland Park in northeast LA? This historic community is rapidly becoming one of the trendiest places in all of SoCal when it comes to arts and academics. In Highland Park, you will come across many unique museums, galleries, boutiques and eclectic eateries. In Highland Park you never know when you just might meet and talk with various authors, filmmakers, photographers, independent venturists, and musicians.

The upcoming open mic event at Book Show, located at 5503 N Figueroa St, provides a rare opportunity for those who love short stories, poems, zine, spoken words and other forms spoken arts. Either go to watch the performers, or signup yourself to present your best storytelling!

The show will be held tomorrow evening, December 1, 2017, from 8:00 to 9:30 PM. Performances are limited to around 5 minutes each. This event will be hosted by Sabrina Dropkick with EAT Art. By attending this show, you’ll be supporting speakers and authors who will be showcasing their talents.

Lots of street parking is available naerby, including metered parking on the street and a public metered lot about a block away. There is a stop on the Metro Gold Line just a few blocks away. The venue is surrounded by many great eateries, and also there are many happening bars and other entertainment options just up the street, so come out and make an evening of this great opportunity!
