Next weekend, Saturday and Sunday November 12 and 13, Central Park in Old Pasadena will host the Jackalope Arts & Crafts Fair, an indie artisan market which will feature over 150 local artisans displaying high quality, locally handcrafted items. Local culture meets with the craft experience of this event, which is a unique shopping opportunity featuring the leading trendsetters and designers of goods in our local area. The fair begins at 10:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM.

Jackalope Arts’ mission is stated to be the creation of a curated shopping experience that makes available the highest quality goods which are handcrafted and sourced locally. This organization seeks to provide support for local artisans in the Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley area who have devoted their entire lives to these creations. The experience of Jackalope Arts is more than simply an opportunity to shop for these goods, but also provides an excellent way for the local community to meet and talk with the makers of these wonderful artistic creations.

Shoppers at the Jackalope Arts & Crafts Fair may expect to discover many trendsetting indie items which include original unique fashion & jewelry, innovative home decor pieces and various housewares, paper goods and ceramics, art and photography, and much more. There is no admission cost, so make a day of it and bring the whole family!

Along with the over two hundred vendors that will be displaying their wares, many workshops will be offered including wreath making, canvas painting, jewelry demos, and many more. After enjoying the many vendor booths and exciting workshops, hammock lounges will be provided and will make the ideal hangout spot if you feel tired from all of the handmade shopping that is available.

Lots of great food options will be available at the fair to suit everyone’s taste. Food trucks and stands that will be available include the Ahimsa Caravan Cafe, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Hungry Nomad, Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, Waffling Around, and Front Porch Pops, along with several others. There are so many things to taste and experience at the Jackalope Art & Craft Fair, but if you are planning to make a day of it, be sure to check out Old Pasadena.
