Mr. Olson directs the overall strategy in providing housing solutions for California’s metropolitan cities. He has over 35 years of experience in homebuilding and real estate finance. The Olson Company has won the Eliant Award in eight of the past ten years for Best Builder in North America.

Mr. Olson was also selected America’s Builder of the Year in 2000 by Professional Builder Magazine and has been honored by both state and city agencies for contributions made to in town affordable housing. Mr. Olson is a past 12-year member of the Los Angeles County Housing Board which advised the County on housing policy and planning issues. Mr. Olson received the Distinguished Alumnus Award by Pepperdine University and was further awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree for his various contributions to affordable housing and community development throughout California. He also was President and Chief Executive Officer of Signet Scientific Company, an international technology company focused on measurement and control systems for semiconductor, biotech, and environmental industries.

Mr. Olson received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. In addition to being Chairman of our Board, Mr. Olson is past Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors of the Aquarium of the Pacific, Flowline, Inc., ONX Winery and Pepperdine University. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Pepperdine School of Public Policy.

Mr. Laurie joined The Olson Company in 2007 and oversees the organization’s administrative and operating groups including strategic planning, acquisition, development, finance, construction, legal, and human resources. Under his leadership Olson won the coveted Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Award for Best Overall Home Purchase and Ownership experience in North America in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Previously with KB Home where he held the position of Inland Valley President, Scott held various corporate and division-level executive positions in his nine years at the company.

In the homebuilding industry since 1996, Scott is currently a member of the Executive Committee for the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate, as well as a member of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and the Urban Land Institute Residential Neighborhood Council. He has previously served on the Executive Board of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Baldy View Chapter, and has been involved in various other real estate organizations.

A native of Southern California and a resident of Los Angeles, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in Urban Planning and Development.

Joining The Olson Company in 2003, Bill is responsible for the Homebuilding Group including oversight of planning, development, construction, marketing, sales, finance, and homeowner satisfaction of Olson Communities. The Olson Company has been recognized as a nine-time winner of the prestigious Eliant Award for “Best Overall Purchase & Ownership Experience in North America” as measure by Eliant Homebuyer Survey’s.

Previously at The Walt Disney Company, Bill directed sales and marketing for Disney’s West Coast Division, including Disneyland Park and Resort. A member of the executive team for Disney Sports Enterprises in 1993, he oversaw marketing and sales for The Mighty Ducks Hockey Team (NHL), The Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, The Anaheim Angels Baseball Club (MLB) and the newly remodeled Angels Stadium Ballpark. Beginning his career with Disney in 1989, Holford was a recipient of Advertising Age Magazine’s “Marketing 100” Award for global marketing.

He began his professional career managing sales and marketing in the airline industry, including Long Beach-based Jet America, spending a total of 10 years in the airline industry.

Bill is a native and resident of Long Beach, attending California State University, Long Beach. His civic contributions include serving previously on several boards and foundations, including the Southern California Special Olympics.

With almost 30 years of experience, Todd has led the industry in the in the development of urban infill housing and mixed use developments. He has diligently worked with cities, housing authorities, redevelopment agencies and property owners to entitle more than 10,000 homes in over 90 different cities throughout California. Todd is particularly proud of the contributions he has made providing hundreds of ownership affordable homes in the coastal urban areas where they are needed most.

Prior to joining The Olson Company, Todd worked in the technology industry providing integrated networking solutions to businesses and university across the country. Recognized as a leader in urban housing he has been involved in state and local housing policies for most of his career. Todd is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Chris has been with The Olson Company since 2004 initially starting in Project Management entitling communities then moving to the Finance Department. As Chief Financial Officer, Chris is responsible for the Company’s corporate finance, legal and risk management, taxes, investor relations, financial reporting, and business planning.

Prior to joining The Olson Company, Chris served as a Vice President with BCC Capital Partners and worked as a consultant in Chile. Although inactive, he also earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Chris is a native of Southern California and enjoys living with his family in a walkable community in Long Beach. Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate.
