See Movies in a New Way
When one thinks of dates, oftentimes the first thing that comes to mind are movies—it’s the classic night out. There’s nothing wrong with keeping things traditional, but if you can heighten your moviegoing experience, you totally should. Only about fifteen minutes from Blossom Walk in Compton is the Paramount Drive-In, which according to the official website, is “bigger, better, and brighter than ever before.” Whip up a delicious picnic, get in your car, and watch the flick on a 75 foot screen.
Fly the Millenium Falcon
Dates at theme parks are always fun, and Disneyland is only a short drive away from Jasmine Walk in Buena Park. Make your trip one to remember by Disneybounding—dressing up as characters by using a specific color scheme. You can dress as your favorite Disney couple. Hold hands while walking down Main Street (and eating a churro with your free hand). Then, go on every ride you can, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Galaxy’s Edge, where you can channel your inner Han Solo and Chewbacca.
Take a Walk Into Nature
Visit the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, located only twenty minutes away from Lumina Walk in Rosmead. Plan a weekend afternoon to learn about nature as you view a variety of plants in different exhibits. The Arboretum also encourages guests to take advantage of their backdrops for unique photo opportunities! Dress accordingly and take some gorgeous shots you’ll look back on fondly.
Dinner and a Show
If you’re opting for something a little more traditional, take your date out for dinner and show. At Mr. V’s Bar & Grill, they are committed to giving each customer excellent service and food. Experience fine cuisine by ordering dishes such as oysters rockefeller, fresh pan-seared halibut, and turtle cheesecake. Finish off the night with a concert or play at the La Mirada Theatre or the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts to make sure your date is one to remember.
